Who we are
Wetals Studio is a Shopify design studio based in the United Kingdom. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@wetals.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, store URL (if you add one), what you need, your budget range and your message. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in that email.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
We also use VisitorTracking to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visits come from. It stores a visitor ID in your browser's local storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, talk about a possible project and keep a record of our conversation. We never sell your information or use it for advertising. Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and on taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
Who else handles it
Contact form messages are delivered to us by Formspree, which processes them on our behalf. The site is hosted by Vercel. Visitor analytics are handled by VisitorTracking. These providers may process your information outside the UK, including in the United States, and protect it under recognized safeguards, such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If we don't end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 24 months. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as we need them for the work and for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email hello@wetals.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Wherever you live, we'll honor reasonable requests like these.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
